Patients relive touching stories as Sen Yaroe treats over 12,000 at medical outreach In Demsa
The just concluded 4-day free mega medical outreach embarked by the Senator representing Adamawa Southern Senatorial District, Senator (Rev) Binos Dauda Yaroe, in Demsa LGA, has confirmed the lingering health challenges in the life of the common man.
Shortly after the closing, benefitting patients shared their experiences and narrated their ordeals before they were rescued by the Binos Medical Team. Their stories are touching, and pointing to the fact that they received treatment on a silver platter what they could have spent millions of naira for same medical attention at the hospitals.

Mal. Bello Buba Mohammed, suffered from a tumor for over 25 years. He went to over 10 hospitals, seeking medical help. But the stories were the same; there was no money to foot the bills.
According to him, he was charged not less than N700,000 at each of the hospital as medical bills, but he had no money and nothing to sell to meet up with the finances. He was just lying at home hopelessly, and helplessly. Then the unexpected happened.
In his words, “My son came and told me that Senator Binos is conducting a free medical outreach at Demsa Cottage Hospital, and we should be there. Reluctantly, I agreed for them to carry me here. After some medical checkups, I was operated upon.
“It was a successful surgery. It was done free of charge. Nobody asked me of my religion or tribe. Now I am feeling better, and by evening time, I will be taken home. I want to use this opportunity to sincerely thank Senator Binos for this lifetime turnover in my life. May God grants him the desires of his heart”.
Another beneficiary, Ms Naomi Samuel, could not believe that the ailment she was charged nearly N500,000 at the hospital was treated for her for free at the medical outreach. Lying comfortably on sickbed, she was grateful to Senator Binos Yaroe for coming to her aid.
She expressed, “I almost lost hope, because I did not have five hundred thousand naira to pay for my medical services at the various hospitals we went. But as God would have it, He sent His servant to rescue me from this strange ailment.
“For Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe, I cannot thank him enough for this lifetime turnaround in my life. I will always be grateful to him for treating me free of charge. I pray God Almighty to bless him, and grant him the desires of his heart”.
Rev. Yunana Kwantintang and Ms. Hauwa Aminu are among the benefitting patients that shared their experiences and narrated their ordeals to newsmen. They described Senator Binos as their savour.
Addressing pressmen shortly after going round to see things for himself, Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe, expressed gratitude to God Almighty for the successful outreach, noting that he was happy and excited that those with health challenges had been attended to without much ado.
Senator Binos, who described health as one of human’s basic needs in life, reaffirmed his commitment and determination to continue improving the wellbeing of his constituents by providing these free medical outreaches.
He noted, “I was since last December and January, I know what I passed through. There is nothing one can do in life without being healthy. I take health as my topmost priority because I value the health and wellness of my people”.
While thanking the medical team for their sacrifices and commitment to ensuring a successful medical outreach, Senator Binos called on his constituents to prioritize their health to enable them contribute their quota in the development of the society.
Also speaking, the Lead Medical Consultant, Prof. Micheal Misauno, disclosed that their target was to attend to 15,000 patients, but they were able to attend to over 12,000 because they successfully treated all the patients that sought medical help during the four days.
He pointed out, “The medical personnel were on ground, modern equipment were here, and quality drugs were in stocks. We expected over 15,000 patients here, but we only had 12,000. We successfully treated all the patients on ground, including surgeries.
“We only had four complicated cases that we did not treat. We are here to help people, not to add to people’s problems. And as usual, Senator Binos has graciously agreed that we should refer them to the teaching hospital. He will foot their medical bills”.
According to Prof. Misauno, what made the Binos Free Medical Team unique is the quality of medical services being rendered. He added that he was happy to be part and parcel of the life-saving programme.
