Minakaro felicitates with Christians, Muslim Ummah on commencement of Lent, Ramadan fast
Hon. Desmond Minakaro has extended warm felicitations to Christian and Muslim faithful across Adamawa State as they commence the sacred seasons of Lent and Ramadan, describing the rare overlap of the two critical religious acts of worship as a divine moment that underscores shared values between the two faiths.
Minakaro noted that the simultaneous observance of Lent by Christians and Ramadan by Muslims represents a unique spiritual convergence in history.

According to him, both Lent and Ramadan emphasize resilience, sacrifice, courage, discipline commitment and servitude to God and humanity.
He called on adherents of both religions to use the season to pray for lasting peace, unity and development in Adamawa State and Nigeria at large.
“This rare alignment reminds us that despite doctrinal differences, our faiths teach similar virtues of love, self-restraint, compassion and service to others,” he said.
The politician urged youths across the state to shun acts that can destabilize the peace and harmony enjoyed in Adamawa State, stressing that young people must resist divisive tendencies and instead channel their exuberant energies towards productive and community-building initiatives.
Minakaro also commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for running an inclusive government devoid of religious bias.
He praised the administration’s efforts in fostering unity and ensuring that all citizens, regardless of faith or background, feel a sense of belonging while also applauding the governor’s giant strides in infrastructural renaissance.
Minakaro who is the Deputy State Youth Leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Adamawa South Zonal Youth Leader of the party, assured Governor Fintiri of total support from himself and youths across the zone.
He reaffirmed their alignment with the Fintiri Movement, declaring, “Wherever he goes, we will follow.”
He wished both Christian and Muslim faithful a spiritually rewarding season marked by peace, reflection and renewed commitment to unity.
