Alleged manipulation in Adamawa ADC registration a decoy by self-style moles to hide insecurity

Our attention has been drawn to a recent publication by a faceless group calling itself the “Adamawa State ADC Youth Alliance and Stakeholders,” making wild and unsubstantiated allegations against the National Chairman of the Membership Mobilization, Revalidation and Registration (MMRR) Committee, Kashim Imam.

We state unequivocally that these claims are false, malicious, and calculated to distract the transparent and successful registration exercise currently ongoing in Adamawa State. It is clear that this attack is not motivated by a love for due process, but by sheer panic and fear of the overwhelming popularity of one of our leading Governorship aspirants, Senator Aisha Dahiru Ahmed (Binani) .

We challenge the authors of that spurious publication to come forward and identify themselves, as the name of the group and its signatories are completely unknown to the structure of our party in Adamawa State. It is a phantom entity created to spread misinformation.

We wish to set the record straight on the issues raised:

1. On the Financing of Membership Cards: The accusers claim it is against procedure for an individual to finance the purchase of membership cards. We ask: who gave Ambassador Umarana, or any other individual, the authority to make such a purchase? The MMRR Committee, led by Kashim Imam, is the only body constitutionally empowered to manage this process. If any financial transaction occurred, it would have been done in strict adherence to the guidelines set by this committee. The accusers are making a vague allegation without providing a shred of evidence that the committee violated its own rules.
2. The Real Motive: Fear of Binani: This entire charade is a poorly disguised attempt to isolate Senator Binani from the party’s activities. Other aspirants and their agents, acutely aware that they cannot match her grassroots appeal and political structure, have resorted to these underhanded tactics. They are trying to build a narrative that will justify their own failure to connect with the party members. The truth is that the overwhelming majority of genuine stakeholders, elders, and youth are solidly behind Senator Binani because of her track record and vision for Adamawa State.
3. The Real Saboteurs: While the accusers point fingers, the real enemies of the ADC’s progress are in their own camp. It is an open secret that the Transition Committee, headed by one Sadiq Dasin , has long outlived its mandate without producing any meaningful or inclusive roadmap for the party. Instead of working for the growth of ADC, this expired committee, aided by a few disgruntled individuals who are suspected to be working as agents of the APC, is desperately trying to install its chairman through the back door. This internal sabotage is the real threat to our party’s integrity.
4. A Glaring Hypocrisy: It is deeply ironic that those crying foul are turning a blind eye to the activities of their own. We have it on good authority and have seen with our own eyes, Ambassador Umarana, an associate of the very people issuing this statement, openly handing out ADC membership cards to known, card-carrying members of the All Progressives Congress (APC). This is the most blatant act of anti-party activity and a direct violation of our guidelines. Where is their outrage about that?

CONCLUSION

We call on the National Chairman, His Excellency Senator David Mark, and the North East Zonal Chairman, Engr. Babachir David Lawal, to disregard this petition from a non-existent group. It is a ploy designed to create chaos and discredit a process that is working.

The MMRR Committee under Kashim Imam has our full confidence. We believe the process in Adamawa State is credible, and we call on all genuine members to remain calm and focused.

The antics of those afraid of Senator Binani’s popularity will not distract us. We are committed to a fair process that will ultimately produce a candidate who truly represents the will of the people. The plot to install an unpopular chairman through the back door and the infiltration of our party by APC agents are the issues that demand immediate investigation, not the fabricated claims of a few scared individuals.
