YEDC announces two weeks power disruptions as TCN carry out maintenance job

The Transmission Company of Nigeria TCN contractors will carry out maintenance works as part of upgrade efforts on the power line along the 276km route.

The Management of Yola Electricity Distribution Company, YEDC, made this known in a statement issued in Yola, Adamawa State.

The statement revealed that the planned outage will occur on the Jos–Bauchi–Gombe 330kV line from 9th April to 22nd May, 2026.

It adds that during this exercise, customers in Adamawa, Taraba, and Yobe States may experience daytime outages for at least four days each week between 09:00 hours and 18:00 hours.

While the distribution company appreciates its customers for their patience and cooperation, it also urged them to remain vigilant and safeguard transformers and other electrical assets within their communities against vandalism.
