Clarion Call: Over 200 Groups Endorse Dan Maje for House of Reps
A powerful political movement is steadily gathering momentum across Yola South, Yola North, and Girei Federal Constituency as over 200 support groups comprising women associations, youth organizations, student bodies, community stakeholders, and trade groups have jointly called on prominent grassroots politician, Ahmadu Hamman, Dan Maje Adamawa to contest the House of Representatives seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The massive endorsement, described by political observers as one of the most coordinated grassroots mobilizations in history, took center stage during a strategic stakeholders’ gathering where supporters from the three local government areas openly declared Dan Maje as their preferred choice for representation in the Green Chamber.

The coalition, drawn from various social and political interests, said their decision was based on Dan Maje’s longstanding record of community service, youth empowerment, educational sponsorship, women support initiatives, and accessibility to ordinary citizens.
Speaking during the gathering, Hon. Khaleel Sajo, a frontline supporter from Yola South, explained that Dan Maje’s entrance into the race was not a personal ambition but a response to overwhelming public demand.
According to him, the clarion call began with more than 30 associations before expanding rapidly into over 200 organized groups across the federal constituency.
“Dan Maje did not just wake up and decide to contest. This is a collective call by the people women, youths, students, and stakeholders who have seen his impact over the years. He has consistently supported education, empowered young people, uplifted women, and remained accessible to the grassroots. That is why the people insisted he must answer this call,” Sajo said.
He stressed that Dan Maje’s popularity is rooted in practical service delivery rather than political rhetoric, noting that his consistent interventions in human capital development made him the natural choice for the constituency.
Also speaking, former Secretary of Yola Local Government and Director General of Adamawa Legacy Forum, Umaru Girei, described the endorsement as a historic political awakening for the people of the constituency.
He revealed that support groups from across Yola North, Yola South, and Girei had intensified consultations to ensure that the constituency produces a candidate with proven capacity, competence, and electoral strength.
“We are talking about a man whose contributions to youth development, education, and social welfare are visible. Dan Maje has sponsored students, supported livelihoods, and maintained close contact with the people. If the seat is zoned to Yola North, we believe there is no aspirant better qualified to represent us,” Umaru stated.
He further emphasized that with the APC’s internal mechanisms of consensus or delegate voting, Dan Maje possesses the political strength and grassroots support necessary to emerge victorious under either process.
On his part, Dr. Mohammed Abbati said the endorsement was driven by the urgent need to promote credible and competent leadership in an era where effective representation has become increasingly important.
“We are here because we believe this constituency deserves quality representation. Dan Maje is a man of integrity, competence, and vision. He understands the yearnings of the people, and if given the mandate, he will deliver the desired change,” Abbati said.
Dr. Abbati noted that the impressive turnout of supporters from all corners of the constituency demonstrated that the movement was beyond politics of imposition and clearly reflected the genuine will of the people.
