3rd edition of YSFON under 20 football competition kicks off In Adamawa

The third edition of Engr. Nimrod Under 20 football competition for boys has kicked off In Hong, Adamawa state.

The competition which has all the wards in Hong local government area will be vying for glory in the one week championship.

Already in some of the matches played the young boys football club from Garaha ward, the home of the Secretary to the government of the federation, Boss Mustapha defeated Hong ward by a lone goal.

The competition which been put together by Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) and Engr. Nimrod is aimed at selecting young boys for the various age grade footballers in the country.

In his speech at the opening ceremony, the National Organizing Secretary of YSFON, Mr. Abdulrazak Usman while encouraging the players said the previous editions has produced players that are currently in National camps

Stating that plans are on to partner with foreign football academy that will help develop not only football but generally.

Other results are Gaya were beaten four nill by Shagui, Husherizum ward were humbled by Thilbang three nill.

While Bangshika and Mayo-lope played goaless in their opening

In the second match SGF Ward Garaha defeated Hong by three goals to one.
