Adamawa State commissioner of police, Afolabi Babatola, has assured Muslims Ummah of water tight security before, during and after the Eid el Kabir Sallah festivity.

The CP who made the statement against the backdrop of warning by the Department of Security Services (DSS) that some unscrupulous elements are planning to attack worship centers during the festival, noted that the state police is on top of its game of securing life and properties of law abiding citizens.

A statement by the command’s image maker SP, Sulaiman Nguroje noted that to that effect, the CP has emplaced adequate security measures to protect the citizens, ensure the success of all the activities lined-up for the Eid el Kabir period and to Prevent any act capable of breaching the law and order.

“Consequently, the CP directed deputy Commissioner of police Department of operations to coordinate and ensure all the Area Commanders, Divisional police officers, and Operational/Tactical commanders to Personally lead the Eid el Kabir Security operation.

“They are to also ensure high visibility and confidence building patrols around the Eid grounds, Event Centers, Residential Areas and other places of public resort to prevent any infiltration by Hostile elements,” he said.
The police boss also congratulated his Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the executive governor of Adamawa State and the entire people of on the occasion of the Eid el Kabir festivity.
“The CP called on citizens to go about the celebrations in the most peaceful and law abiding manner and report any suspicious person(s) around their neighborhoods to the nearest Police or via these Emergency numbers: 08089671313; 08032718516; 08031153243,” the statement added..
