Buhari, Atiku’s meeting the most symbolic pointer that Tinubu is a goner – Calculate
Adamawa’s renowned politician and analyst, Mr. Umar Bello Jada also known as Calculate has described the meeting between two top-most northern politicians, the immediate past president Muhammadu Buhari and former vice president Atiku Abubakar as the most symbolic pointer that Tinubu’s reign will terminate come 2027.
He noted that it was clear from the spontaneous and cheering support Atiku and his entourage got from the general public at public gatherings during the visit that the end of the haughty and anti-masses government led by President Tinubu is nigh.

He noted that the presidency has never been so rattled in the past making it to quickly draft the APC national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje to visit Kaduna in order to mend broken fences. Unfortunately, Calculate noted that it is too late in the day to change the glaring misfortunes of the government because the people have been at the receiving end of its bad policies.

The meeting that took place between former Vice President Atiku Abubakar alongside his entourage with former President Muhammadu Buhari has been described as a watershed for the fact that it has forced the federal government to draft the national chairman of the APC to douse tension. How will you describe the success of the meeting vis a vis the reaction of the government?
Without mincing words, I will say with an air of finality that the defeat of Tinubu in 2027 is imminent, it is a fait accompli as far as the masses are concerned. Although the former vice president was in Kaduna to pay Sallah homage to the former president, the spontaneous show of goodwill and support by the ecstatic people is a pointer to the fact that Tinubu has already lost out even before the election day. I want to assure you if election will take place now, Tinubu will be thoroughly defeated.
The energy, goodwill and public support I saw yesterday was simply inordinate, it was something I had never imagined nor bargained for even in my wildest dream. The reality of that public support and camaraderie is a pointer that a new dawn is in the offing. And for the first time in our contemporary political annals, people are ready and willing to assert their independence through the ballot.
The spontaneous chorus of Sai Atiku by enthusiastic and exuberant youths and the people of Kaduna in general during our encounter with the public was too powerful to be dismissed even by the most in-sensate potentate. Having been so rattled, Tinubu quickly drafted the APC national chairman to meet with the former president, but will that alter the will or the mindset of the people to change this insensitive government? Your guess is as good as mine.
Currently, the PDP Atiku’s political party boosts of several governors including the governor of his state. Is there any talks between him and the governors to boost the mega coalition drive similar to what happened in the build up to the formation of APC where 5 PDP governors played a Key role in the success of the coalition which birthed APC?
Unlike what played out in the build up to the 2015 general elections where courageous, progressive and people centered governors joined hands with the opposition to form the APC, what is playing out in PDP now is better imagined than seen. In all honesty, PDP governors are working with their leader, Wike to make their party an extension of APC. To be mild to them, I will say they are all bunch of sellouts who have already mortgaged the party for selfish ends. So the mega coalition being midwife by Atiku is not even considering those elements as we have known their position as far as Tinubu’s leadership is concerned. I will tell you with all sense of responsibility they will be the highest losers in their self inflicted and odious machination.
The prospects and success of the new mega coalition is rooted in the fact that northerners who have the block votes have been convinced beyond reasonable doubt that APC led by Tinubu is averse to the development of their region in all ramifications be it in appointments, allocation of contracts and reward system. The North has been completely sidelined in the areas I mentioned and fortunately, northerners are very much aware of the development and they have vowed to wait keenly to avenge the injustice with their votes.
Secondly, I want to tell you with all sense of responsibility that over 80 percent of those Islamic scholars who supported Tinubu via the Muslim-muslim ticket have now made a detour based on the disappointment meted to them and the region. They have vowed to use their reach and mass support base to work against Tinubu’s ambition.
Thirdly, buoyed by the popular agitation to salvage the North, the immediate president, Muhammad Buhari has tacitly through his body language endorsed the agitation for change in the interest of the Northern people. He has shown this tacit support in many forms. When El-Rufai told him he wanted to move to SDP, the former president did not prevent him from doing so even though he said he will remain in APC. In his latest meeting with APC governors who urged him to prevail on his supporters especially the CPC caucus not to leave APC, the former president told them in black and white that he will never stop anyone who wishes to defect from doing so. Thirdly, if you look at the way Buhari gave Atiku full compliments and respect during his Friday visit, you will not fail to realize that behind such gesture lies a serious commitment towards what Atiku stands for. The meeting was graced by all Buhari’s lieutenants and close political allies and the former president as a show of unparalleled respect rode in the same car with Atiku to the mosque where the teeming congregants urged the former president to accord the former vice president full support and going by his covenant with the people, I know Buhari will always answer the clarion call of his people.
I’m telling you with the Buhari factor, Atiku will consolidate his over 6 million votes in the last election to over 12 million votes in 2027 while Tinubu’s votes will whittle down significantly. And let me tell you, the Tinubu’s success in implementing the agenda of the Action Group espoused by late Obafemi Awolowo which gave priority to the Yoruba race in all aspects of development, to the exclusion of other regions, all the aggrieved regions are waiting for the judgement day to show Tinubu how angry they are. I’m certain, Tinubu will get zero votes in Rivers and Kano States for mistreating and disrespecting their political and traditional leaders. So if you remove Kano and Rivers States from the equation, amidst the rising wave of Tinubu’s unpopularity occasioned by harsh economic policies, rising poverty and insecurity, you don’t need a seer to tell you Tinubu is a goner.
