Ven. Asoore congratulated over consecration as Bishop of African Church Nigeria and Abroad
The entire Rogom Cathedral Bwari, under the leadership of Rt. Rev. Dr. David Akinniyi Asoore, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Ven. Dr. Akinfenwa Elijah Oluwaseun Asoore on his consecration as a Bishop of the African Church Nigeria and Abroad.
The historic consecration, which took place on Thursday, July 3, 2025, marks a significant milestone in the life and ministry of Bishop Akinfenwa Asoore, who now assumes the revered responsibility of spiritual leadership within the African Church both in Nigeria and in the diaspora.

In a message of goodwill, Rt. Rev. Dr. David Akinniyi Asoore described the consecration as “a divine affirmation of Bishop Akinfenwa’s unwavering commitment, humility, and deep-rooted passion for the work of the Gospel.”
“We rejoice with our dear brother and servant of God, Rt. Rev. Dr. Akinfenwa Elijah Oluwaseun Asoore, on this glorious elevation to the sacred office of Bishop. It is a testament to his years of faithful service, spiritual depth, and leadership excellence within the vineyard of Christ,” the statement from Rogom Cathedral, Bwari, reads.
The message continued: “We pray that the grace of God will abound upon him, granting him strength, wisdom, and courage as he shepherds the flock entrusted to his care across Nigeria and beyond. May his episcopacy bring revival, healing, and unity to the body of Christ.”
The African Church, one of Nigeria’s oldest indigenous Christian denominations, has continued to play a pivotal role in evangelism and community development, with its Bishops serving as spiritual guides and voices of moral conscience across society.
