Adamawa police rescue abducted resident of Girei

The Adamawa State Police Command has rescued an abducted resident of Unguwan Abuja, Viniklang, in Girei Local Government Area, Abdullahi Usman.

According to the command, the rescue operation took place on November 6, 2025, following a distress call from one Adamu Shugaba, who reported hearing groaning sounds coming from an uncompleted building in Jabbore, Viniklang. On arrival at the scene, he discovered the victim tied up with pieces of cloth on both hands and legs.

Responding swiftly, the Divisional Police Officer, Viniklang, alongside a team of operatives, stormed the area and successfully rescued the victim unhurt. He was immediately taken to a hospital for medical examination and care.

Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, commended the officers for their timely and professional response. He further directed the Anti-Kidnapping Unit to take over the case and intensify efforts to apprehend the culprits behind the abduction.

While assuring residents of the command’s unwavering commitment to protect lives and property, CP Morris urged the public to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious persons or activities to the nearest police station.
