Adamawa CP Honoured for Enhancing Bank Security
The Yola Bankers Committee has conferred an Award of Excellence in Security Partnership on the Commissioner of Police in Adamawa State, CP Dankombo Morris, in recognition of his efforts in strengthening security for banking operations across the state.
The award, presented by the committee, acknowledges CP Morris’ outstanding support, collaboration, and commitment to creating a safe and enabling environment for financial institutions to operate effectively in Adamawa State.
According to the committee, the commissioner’s proactive leadership style, well-coordinated security strategies, and strong working relationship with banks have contributed significantly to improved safety around banking premises and transactions. These measures, the committee noted, have helped to curb security threats and restore confidence among financial institutions, staff, and customers.

The recognition underscores the Adamawa State Police Command’s commitment to fostering collaboration with key stakeholders in safeguarding lives, property, and economic assets.
The award was announced in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, ANIPR, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Command, on December 21, 2025.
