Addressing the large congregation, Hon. Yoyyo conveyed Dr. Musa’s goodwill and deep appreciation to the leadership of the Church, particularly His Grace, Most Rev. Panti Filibus Musa, for what he described as “outstanding leadership, vision, and foresight” in advancing the mission of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria and fostering unity among its members.
He then announced a landmark donation of ₦200 million intervention package designed to uplift pastors’ families and strengthen communities across the Church’s dioceses.
The donation, unveiled on behalf of Dr. Musa, includes 200 employment opportunities for pastors’ children or dependants, providing a pathway to economic stability for many households.
In addition, 200 scholarships will be awarded to pastors’ children or other dependants to pursue university education in institutions of their choice within Nigeria, covering their academic journey from 100 level through to final year.
To further ease access to higher education, the foundation will also sponsor 200 free UTME (JAMB) registrations for eligible beneficiaries.
Dr Musa also pledged to construct 10 hand pump boreholes across various dioceses, a move expected to improve access to clean water and enhance community health and wellbeing.
Appreciating the gesture, church leaders and members thanked the philanthropist for the show of magnanimity which they said will go a long way in helping less privileged members of the church.
They prayed for God’s divine protection, wisdom, and continued blessings upon the philanthropist who they say has carved his name in Gold as a true beacon of humanity.
