Abdulrahman Haske is a towering personality both in stature and knowledge and speaks in a manner that inspire awe, respect and resonates deeply with the audience to the extent that whenever he speaks, an effective communication is attained without qualms.
His down-to-earth and unassuming personality, track records of achievements, humanitarian gestures, and many other enviable qualities have deeply ingrained him into the hearts of those who crossed paths with him.
The taciturn young entrepreneur in his mid thirties epitomizes success in all its ramifications, which he attained on the alter of diligence, hard work, and tenacity of purpose. Despite his gangling life achievements, Abdulrahman Haske exudes simplicity, modesty and humility to the extent it is difficult to separate him from others in a crowd.
Even though a young man in his prime, Haske possessed the ambience of great leaders in history. His demeanour was calm, his presentation was lucid, his goals were clear, his composure was calculative, his presence was riveting, his personality was infectious, and his erudition and argumentative prowess was superb. Simply put, he is a mosaic of intrinsic business acumen, humility and administrative excellence.
It was therefore not surprising that the people after gauging his exceptional leadership qualities have placed a clarion call on him to contest the next Governorship election so that Adamawa State could benefit from his youthful energy, vision and intellect which they believe will bail the state from years of stagnation and leadership inertia.
The calls became so intense and pervasive that Abdulrahman Haske has no alternative than to answer the clarion call of the people despite the fact that by nature he is an introvert who will like to be left in the convivial cocoon of his familiar turf; the business world.
In a chat with newsmen in Yola, Abdulrahman Haske noted that he accepted to contest for the plum office with nostalgia out of respect for the people who inundated him with calls to contest noting that the decision to leave the private sector to join the murky waters of politics was only made out of the deep respect he has for the people.
“Agreeing to join politics was born out of the deep respect I have for my people who have been on my neck because of death of good governance.
“But then I’m a product of the society. It is not in my character to reject the calls of the people because the society made me who I am today. I must restate that leaving my familiar turf to join politics comes with great sacrifice. But my yearning to give my robust contributions to the society and the people is a paramount goal no matter the travails,” he said.
When he was asked to elucidate what he intends to do differently from other youths who were entrusted with leadership but fail the litmus test, Abdulrahman Haske said he will ensure the evolution of a peoples driven government and subscribe fully to open government partnership so that the people not him will take charge of the system.
“Adamawa State has all the endowments for greatness. If you remove corruption and maladministration and other vices. We have great, young and enterprising population, we have forest reserves and good weather, we have sunlight and mosaic of rivers in the state, arable land… the endowments are endless. Nature has prepared us to be great. Our challenges are purely artificial. The two things I will do differently are; I will ensure people own the system not the other way round and I will employ competent hands and ensure corruption is completely eliminated from the system,” he said.
