
Haske congratulates Prof. Yilwatda on emergence as APC nat’l chairman
Prominent businessman, philanthropist, and Adamawa gubernatorial hopeful, Alhaji Abdurrahman Bashir Haske, has extended his warmest felicitations to Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda on his emergence as the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement issued on Friday, Haske described Professor Yilwatda’s election as a bold and strategic step by the APC towards reinvigorating its leadership and positioning the party for greater success ahead of the 2027 general election.

He noted that the emergence of a young, cerebral, and dynamic individual like Yilwatda reflects the APC’s growing responsiveness to the yearnings of Nigerians for innovative, inclusive, and effective political leadership.
“Professor Yilwatda’s track record as a scholar, administrator, and technocrat speaks volumes about his capacity to lead our great party at this critical time.
“His ascension to the top leadership of the APC is not only well deserved but also timely, as it aligns with the aspirations of young Nigerians who seek a more vibrant and people-oriented political leadership,” Haske said.
Haske commended the President and Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for providing the needed leadership that ensured a seamless, transparent, and democratic transition within the party.
He said the feat in very clear language demonstrates President Tinubu’s commitment to deepen democratic values and strengthen internal party democracy.
“As a progressive party, we must remain united, focused, and visionary. I believe the emergence of Professor Yilwatda will inject renewed energy, vision, and purpose into our fold,” he added.
While wishing the new chairman a successful tenure, Haske urged party stakeholders at all levels to rally behind him in the collective task of rebuilding trust, deepening grassroots engagement, and charting a bold new path for national development through the APC platform.
