Galadima storms APC secretariat congratulates new exco, renews guber drive
Frontline governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Tijjani Ahmed Galadima, on Wednesday paid a high-profile congratulatory visit to the party’s state secretariat, using the occasion to also renew his commitment to contest the state governorship seat.
The visit, which drew key stakeholders and members of the newly constituted state executive, also provided a platform for the aspirant to outline his vision while reinforcing party unity ahead of the political season.

Addressing the gathering, Galadima expressed deep gratitude to Almighty Allah for the opportunity to witness the moment and congratulated the new leadership of the party led by State Chairman, Hamza Alhaji Bello Madagali.
He described the emergence of the new executives as well-deserved, noting that their track record of loyalty and commitment to the party made them worthy of the responsibility entrusted to them.
“To the chairman, the deputy chairman, the state secretary and all members of the executive, I congratulate you. Leadership is not easy, but when leaders are sincere, the people will always know,” he said.
Galadima also commended governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for ensuring a peaceful and consensus-driven congress process across the ward, local government and state levels, describing the feat as a demonstration of political maturity and statesmanship in Adamawa’s complex political terrain.
He further paid glowing tribute to Nuhu Ribadu, applauding his integrity, patriotism and contributions to national security, as well as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his all encompassing leadership style.
The former Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) formally announced his decision to join the governorship race, stating that the move followed wide consultations with critical stakeholders across the state.
“I stand before you today to inform you, my political family, that after extensive consultations with elders, youths, women and professionals, I have offered myself to serve the people of Adamawa State,” he declared.
Galadima emphasized that his ambition is anchored on experience, sincerity and a commitment to service, distancing himself from divisive politics.
“I did not come with noise, insults or division. I come with experience, sincerity and a heart ready to serve,” he added.
He pledged that if elected, his administration would focus on unity, ethno religious harmony, addressing youth restiveness and unemployment, addressing education gaps and insecurity and strengthening agriculture amongst others.
He also promised to uphold transparency, accountability and respect for party structures, while building on existing achievements in the state.
In his response, APC State Chairman, Hamza Alhaji Bello Madagali, warmly welcomed the aspirant, describing his visit as a positive development that would strengthen the party.
According to him, the responsibility of the party leadership is to safeguard unity and ensure that all processes are conducted fairly and transparently.
“Your coming is a welcome development. We, as executives, are custodians of the party, entrusted to ensure everything goes well. Building the party requires contributions from people like you,” Madagali said.
He assured Galadima and other aspirants of a level playing ground, stressing that the party would organize free, fair and credible primaries that would be acceptable to all contestants.
“We will make sure there is a level playing field where everyone has a sense of belonging. The process will be conducted in such a way that nobody will complain or feel cheated,” he stated.
Madagali added that the party machinery from the state to local government levels would be mobilized to ensure justice and inclusiveness throughout the electoral process.
He further noted that Galadima’s experience in public service and his support base would add value to the party, expressing optimism that his aspiration would boost APC’s chances in future elections.
“This is your home. Your presence and what you have done in service to the country bring hope to the party. We will work together to ensure a smooth process from primaries to the general elections,” he said.
The chairman also revealed that the sale of nomination forms had commenced, reiterating the commitment of the party leadership to fairness at all levels of contest.
