‎Tijjani Galadima clinches Adamawa APC governorship ticket

‎Former executive secretary of Petroleum Trust Development Fund (PTDF), Tijjani Ahmed Galadima has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State following the conclusion of the party’s primary election held across the state on Thursday.

‎Galadima secured a landslide victory after polling a total of 414,444 votes to defeat other aspirants in the race, further cementing his growing influence within the party ahead of the 2027 governorship election in the state.

‎The chairman of the APC Governorship Primary Electoral Committee, Professor Innocent Bariko, announced the results in Yola on Friday after the collation of votes from the 21 local government areas of the state.

According to him, the exercise was conducted peacefully declaring that Galadima scored the highest number of lawful votes cast, thereby emerging as the duly elected governorship candidate of the party.

‎The result showed that Galadima defeated notable contenders including businessman and philanthropist Abdurrahman Bashir Haske as well as former federal lawmaker Abdurrazak Namdas.

‎According to Bariko, Namdas came second in the contest with 86,004 votes, while Haske finished third after polling 65,424 votes..

‎With this landslide victory, Galadima, is expected to lead the APC into a highly competitive governorship election in Adamawa State..
