Adamawa police command presents N32m to families of slain personnel, accident victims
Adamawa State Police command has today presented cheques of over N32 million to families of policemen who lost their lives in the line of duty and others who are involved in accident.

A statement by the command’s image maker, SP Sulaiman Nguroje said, the cheques were presented to the next of kins of 53 such officers in line with the service group life assurance/group personal accident and IGP family welfare scheme.

“Today 4/07/2023, Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, on behalf of Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetekun, Phd, Npm, presents cheques amounting to the sum of Thirty Two Million, Seventeen Thousand Six Hundred and Fourty Naira, Fourty Five Kobo (N32,017,640.45) to Fifty-Three (53) immediate family members.

“The beneficiaries that were presented with the cheques include the Next of Kins of Deceased Police Officers and victims of Accidents,” he said.
The CP, while presenting the cheques to the Beneficiaries, urged them to judiciously use the money for the upkeep and welfare of their families including Health challenges.
He further stated that the IGP’s welfare scheme was meant to ameliorate the suffering/ hardship faced by the immediate family of Deceased before the actual benefits of such officers are paid and also to Support the Medical Health Condition of Accident Victims.
“The police Boss having prayed for the departed souls to Rest in peace equally wished the Accident Victims speedy recovery,” he said.
While expressing their Joy and gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, the beneficiaries promised to make good use of the money for the purpose it was released.
